Rae Lynn Hodgkins

Rae Lynn Hodgkins, age 67, of Montello, passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2018, at the Montello Care Center.  She was born on October 19, 1950, in Portage, WI, a daughter of Robert and Beth (Klimke) Johnson.  On February 22, 1975, she married Darrell Hodgkins at St. John's Lutheran Church in Montello.  Rae worked for the Montello School District as a teacher's aide for over 25 years.  She enjoyed gardening, crafting, sewing, and spending time with her grandchildren.  Rae was a long time member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Montello and its Ladies Aid Club.

Rae is survived by her mother, Beth Johnson of Montello; her husband, Darrell Hodgkins of Montello; 3 children, Kristopher Hodgkins of Montello, Jennifer (Jacob) Wegner of Princeton, Sarah (James) Wegner of Princeton; 5 grandchildren, Taylor Wegner, Trenton Wegner, Carson Wegner, Kyle Wegner, Tori Wegner; 2 brothers, Gary (Orlene) Johnson of Montello, Melvin (special friend, Brenda) Johnson of Montello; 5 sisters, Diane (Rex) Rhode of Montello, Roberta Davison of Markesan, Mary (Frank) Quade of Markesan, Ann (Steve) Davison of Markesan; Jennifer (Mike) Beahm of Montello; 3 brothers-in-law; 2 sisters-in-law; many other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Johnson; 2 infant brothers; maternal and paternal grandparents.

A visitation for family and friends of Rae Lynn Hodgkins will take place on Wednesday, October 10,  from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.,  at the Wachholz and Sons Funeral Home, 303 Harvard St., in Princeton.  The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 11, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. , at St. John's Lutheran Church, 313 E. Montello St., in Montello.  Pastor Peter Zietlow will officiate the service.  Rae Lynn will be laid to rest following the service at Eastside Cemetery in Montello.  Please visit our website at www.wachholzandsons.com to send a condolence or to share a memory of Rae Lynn with her family.
