Randy Mirr

February 10, 1950 ~ February 7, 2022 (age 71)

Obituary

Randy Mirr, who resided in Berlin, WI, died unexpectedly on Monday, February 7, 2022, just three days before his 72nd birthday. He was born in Princeton, WI, on February 10, 1950, a son of Ray and Helen (Kodousek) Mirr.

Randy graduated from Green Lake High School in Green Lake, WI. After graduation, he started to work with his father in the trucking business as a driver. In years to come, he took over R. F. Mirr Trucking after his father’s passing and renamed the business R. Mirr Enterprises. In May of 1972, he married Marlene Rose Schimelpfenig, together they had two sons.

Randy eventually branched out to form a new business, Wisconsin Alfalfa Marketing where he invented two portable hay compacting machines, operated a hay compacting factory in Princeton, and also processed packaged alfalfa cubes for the pet food market.

Following in his father’s footsteps, he was a hard worker with a true entrepreneurial spirit. He was a businessman, an inventor, a super handyman, a great storyteller and a fun-loving guy with a big heart. His pastimes were filled with mushroom hunting, fishing, travel and at one point he received his pilot’s license and flew small planes.

Randy is survived by his two sons; Benjamin and Bryan Mirr; three siblings; Wendy Mirr, Nancy Mirr and Cory Mirr; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Helen Mirr.
