Richard Clem Pokrzewinski, age 74, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on Monday, December 24, 2018, at ThedaCare Medical Center in Berlin, WI. He was born on December 7, 1944, in Milwaukee, WI, a son of Clemens P. and Dorothy (Wojcinski) Pokrzewinski.
For many years, Richard was employed as a custodian with the Green Lake Post Office. He also worked as a security guard at the Jewish Vocational Center in Milwaukee for a time and most recently had worked for Fox River Industries in Berlin. Rick enjoyed watching television and ordering movies and DVD’s. When he was able, he participated in the Special Olympics.
Richard is survived by his children, Holly Petts of Green Lake, Richard L. Pokrzewinski of Beaver Dam; 2 grandchildren, Tia L. Petts of Rio, Dakota R. Bellows of Green Lake; 2 great grandchildren, Kael A.S. Schonscheck of Rio, Katie (Keanua) Kemik of Waupun; sister, Arlene Morgan of Princeton; brother, Gregory (Pam) Capistant of Milwaukee; special friend, Harvey Goleau of Milwaukee; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clemens and Dorothy Pokrzewinski-Banner.
A Celebration of Life for Richard Clem Pokrzewinski will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2019, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Wachholz and Sons Funeral Home, 303 Harvard St., in Princeton. Richard will be laid to rest following the celebration of his life at St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Princeton.
