Rodney Victor “Mongo” Wilson, age 77, of Princeton, passed away at his home on Wednesday, August 3, 2022. He was born on September 9, 1944, in Maywood, CA, the son of Jerry and Gloria Ann (Randall) Wilson.
On October 17, 1964, Rodney married Sheila Billings in Lakewood, CA. For over 20 years, Mongo worked for the Alpha Beta Supermarket in Southern California as a truck driver.
Rodney was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Oshkosh, WI. He enjoyed deep sea fishing, making fishing lures, hot rods and airplanes.
Those Rodney leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Sheila Wilson of Princeton; his 2 children, Shannon (Darcy) Wilson of Castle Rock, CO, Rhonda Biro of Princeton; 2 grandchildren, Mckenzie (Tanner) Meehan of Princeton, Travis Biro of Princeton; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Gloria Wilson; son-in-law, Todd Biro.
A funeral service for Rodney Wilson will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at 1:00 p.m., with visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m., at the Wachholz and Sons Funeral Home, 303 Harvard St., in Princeton. Rodney will be laid to rest following the service at the Memory Hill Cemetery in Princeton.
