Ronald Karl Brandstetter, age 88, of Princeton, WI, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at the Markesan Resident Home. He was born on June 2, 1937, in Milwaukee, the son on Karl and Dorothy (Ledder) Brandstetter.
On July 1, 1967, Ronald married Patricia Hoffa in Milwaukee. After retiring from the Coca Cola Company in Milwaukee, where he worked for 34 years, Ronald and Patricia made a permanent move to Big Green Lake in WI, where he continued to enjoy fishing and hunting with his labradors. His pal, Bogey, had a special place in his heart. Ronald was a member of the Experimental Aviation Association (EAA) and attended the annual fly in from early on. He was also a retired member of the 128th AC&W Air Force Reserves where he served for 8 years. Ronald had a love for classical music.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include his wife of 58 years, Patricia Brandstetter of Princeton; sister, Karen Kniech of New Berlin, WI; nieces and nephew; special cousin, Gary (Gretchen) Brandstetter; Gundlach and Maddox families; wonderful neighbors and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Karl and Dorothy Brandstetter; brother-in-law, Jerome Kniech.
A funeral service for Ronald Karl Brandstetter will take place on Monday, June 1, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation starting at 9:30 a.m., at the Wachholz and Sons Funeral Home, 303 Harvard St. in Princeton. Chaplain Doug Trost will preside. Ronald will be laid to rest at the Wisconsin Memorial Park, 13235 West Capitol Drive, in Brookfield on Tuesday, June 2, at 10:00 a.m. Please visit our website www.wachholzandsons.com to send a condolence or to share a memory of Ronald with his family.
