Roseann Loraine (nee Treder) Zinke, age 69, of Berlin, WI, was called to her eternal home, freed of pain to find peace in the arms of Jesus' Monday evening, October 25, 2021, at her home following a one-year courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born on February 1, 1952, in Milwaukee WI, the oldest of seven children born to Harry and Irene (Borowski) Treder.
Roseann attended schools in Princeton, WI, graduating as Valedictorian of Princeton High School in 1970. She earned her Bachelor of Science - Registered Nurse degree from the University of Wisconsin Madison in 1976.
On June 2, 1973, she married John P. Zinke. They lived in Madison and then moved to Stockton, CA, in November of 1987. Roseann held positions in nursing and had also worked as an infection control coordinator and quality control manager with Kaiser Permanente in California. John worked in the agriculture equipment field. The couple moved back to Wisconsin in November of 2018.
Roseann had a strong faith, she loved worship music and sharing her faith in Jesus with others. She was a voracious reader who also enjoyed boating, water skiing, fishing, playing Wordscapes, custom card making, gardening, and being a Green Bay Packer fan.
She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, John P. Zinke, of Berlin; her mother, Irene Treder, of Princeton; her siblings, Robert (Marlene) Treder, Rita (Dave) Rennert, Romayne (Gordon Goretzki) Borzick, Rosalyn (Mark) Evans, and Richard (Jennifer) Treder; brothers-and-sisters-in law; Doug Freeman, Jeannette Dehling, Laurie (Jim) Petruska, Mary Jane (Bill) Schmudlach, Mike Zinke, Claudia (Malcolm) Chiles; many cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends. Roseann was preceded in death by her father, Harry Treder; one sister, Ruth Treder Freeman; niece, Robin Treder; father-and-mother-in-law, John L. and Jane Zinke; 2 brothers-in-law, Keven Rogers, Eugene Dehling; beloved pets, Cinder, Angie, Scooter, Molly, Squeaky and Cali.
A Celebration of Life for Roseann L. Zinke will be held on Saturday, November 13, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m., at River Shores Church, 253 South Church St., Berlin. Pastor Casey Getz will officiate. The service will be live streamed on River Shores Church of Berlin Facebook page.
