Roslyn Zodrow Obituary

Roslyn Mae Zodrow, age 90, of Princeton, passed away at the Montello Care Center on February 3, 2022, after spending the day surrounded by her family. She was born on March 31, 1931, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Lese) Zelinski.

After graduating from Princeton High School, Rozie worked as a telephone operator before marrying Norbert Zodrow on September 2, 1957. While raising their children, Rozie was employed as a home worker for the Handcraft Company in Princeton until her retirement. She was a faithful member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, where she volunteered her time at the annual picnic and worked at the school’s bingo nights twice a month for many years, along with helping at other events. She also enjoyed regular visits to the Princeton Flea Market and many antique shops over the years, building a variety of old and new collections that she displayed in her home. Her collections of German smokers and miniature ornaments were among her favorite decorations in their home at Christmas time.

Over the years, Rozie enjoyed many trips to Las Vegas, family vacations to northern Wisconsin and other trips with Norb, including an Alaskan cruise in their retirement. Her favorite pastimes included time spent with her grandchildren, regular trips to casinos around Wisconsin, playing weekly bingo games locally, and entering plenty of raffles, where she was a lucky winner many times.

Those Rozie leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband of 64 years, Norbert Zodrow; 3 daughters, Mary (Richard) Faltz, Carol (Ulrich) Baumeister, and Lynn (Michael Hayashiguchi) Zodrow; 4 grandchildren, Matthew Faltz, Sarah Faltz; Axel Baumeister and Rudy Baumeister; brother, John Zelenski; brother-in-law, Jerome (Janet) Zodrow; nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Zelinski; daughter, Lee Ann; sister, Mary Jean Mevis; sister-in-law, Sandy Zelenski; brother-in-law, Irving (Marion) Zodrow.
