Sharon Kallestad Obituary

Sharon Rose (Brussat) Kallestad, age 77, of Neshkoro, passed away with her family by her side on Friday, July 3, 2026, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah. She was born on November 30, 1948, in Milwaukee, WI, a daughter of Robert and Bernice (Kronenberger) Brussat.

 

Sharon graduated from Rufus King High School in Milwaukee. After high school, she attended Carthage College in Kenosha and then went on to earn her Master of Education degree from UW Whitewater. Putting her degree to good use, she taught English and Social Studies at Edison Junior High School for over 30 years. On June 20, 1981, Sharon married Kenneth Harris Kallestad in Turtle Creek, WI. 

 

Upon her retirement, Sharon and her husband Ken, renovated a barn in Neshkoro. From 2000 to 2024, they owned and operated Pastimes in downtown Princeton. Her dog Max meant the world to her and was often with her at Pastimes. Sharon loved to read, collect antiques, watch the Brewers and Packers, play bridge with her friends, and spend time in the Princeton community.

 

Those Sharon leaves behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 45 years, Kenneth Kallestad; 3 sisters, Bonnie Tjader, Sally (Thad) Nielsen, Mary Elliot; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Bernice Brussat; brother, Robert Brussat; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harris and Evelyn Kallestad.
