Sharon A. Rivers, age 83, of Berlin, formerly of Princeton, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Patriot Place in Berlin. She was born on October 11, 1940, in Milwaukee, a daughter of Fred and Audenta (Cavender) Krahn. The family lived in Kenosha for 12 years before moving to Princeton.
Sharon was a graduate of Princeton High School. She married Gerald Hardt, and had a son, Jay F. Hardt. Gerald passed away shortly into their marriage. She later married Gordon Stibb and they farmed together for nearly 20 years. In 1991, Sharon married Irv Rivers. They spent many happy years together before Irv’s passing in 2016. She was a farmer’s wife, bartender, wood hauler, and metal recycler with Irv.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her 2 sons, Jay F. Hardt of Princeton, Kevin (Karen) Stibb of Redgranite; 7 grandchildren, Christina Atkinson, Jay J. Hardt, Vanessa Orlick; Jessie Wilson; Tiffany Ludwig, Amanda Pulvermacher, Dustin Stibb; 6 great grandchildren, Hayden, Hailey, Kylee, Abel, Mason, Lucas; 9 siblings, Karan Soda of Princeton, Larry (Shannon) Krahn of Ripon, Joanne Strange of TN, Suzanne Seehaver of Princeton, Lora (Kent) Kautzer of Lake Mills, Penny (Bill) Kiekhafer of Horicon, Mary Knaack of AZ, Carol (Daryl) Stibb of Van Dyne, Steve (Mary) Krahn of Green Lake; stepchildren, Patsy (Tim) Hill of Princeton, James Rivers of Princeton, Terry (Penny) Rivers of Redgranite, Candice (Bill) Austin of Berlin, Laurie Rivers of Oshkosh, Jeff (Karen) Rivers of Wild Rose; numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Gerald Hardt, Gordon Stibb, Irv Rivers; daughter, Deborah Stibb; son, Ronald Stibb; brother, Alfred Krahn; stepson, Keith Rivers; numerous other relatives.
A Celebration of Life for Sharon A. Rivers will be held on Thursday, May 16, from 4:00-7:00 p.m., at the Wachholz and Sons Funeral Home, 303 Harvard St., in Princeton. Sharon will be laid to rest in the Memory Hill Cemetery in Princeton at a later date.
