Walter “Tuffy” Naparalla, age 74, of Neshkoro, passed away on May 21, 2021, at Juliette Manor in Berlin, where he resided for just one month. He was born in Berlin on December 6, 1946, to John and Rose (Nigbor) Naparalla.
Tuffy was a graduate of Berlin High School in 1966. Walter married Roberta Lesniak on June 14, 1969, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Berlin. He worked the majority of his career on the family farm with his brothers and his wife. During his retirement, Tuffy did some traveling with Roberta seeing 48 of the 50 states. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, trap shooting and trapping.
Those Walter leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife of 52 years, Roberta Naparalla; 2 daughters, Nancy (Pete) Hall, Amy (Kevin) Tunks; 4 grandchildren, Rhiannon, Jarrett, Tyler and Madison; 2 brothers, Ronnie Naparalla, Roger (Sarah) Naparalla; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Rose Naparalla; siblings in infancy, Mary and John.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Walter “Tuffy” Naparalla will take place on Thursday, May 27, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation starting at 9:00 a.m., at St. James Catholic Church, 315 North Street, in Neshkoro. Father Dale Grubba will conduct the service. Burial will follow the service at St. James Catholic Cemetery in Neshkoro.
