William Barzano Sr.

William “Bill” Walter Barzano Sr., age 81 of Princeton passed away Monday, September 27, 2021 at The Barrett House in Markesan.  Bill was born in Chicago, IL on February 16, 1940 to Anthony and Rose (Krutz) Barzano.  He graduated from Arlington Heights High School in 1959 and married the love of his life, Myrna Scharringhausen on May 5, 1962 in Elk Grove Village.  Myrna preceded Bill in death on July 22, 2013.

Bill and Myrna visited family for many years until permanently relocating to Princeton in 1970.  He was a veal farmer for many years before taking a job at Ripon Community Printers until retirement.  Bill enjoyed woodworking, hunting and surrounding himself with family and friends.  He took great pride in mowing his lawn and will be remembered for his sense of humor, sage advice and teaching his great-grandchildren the joys of country living.

Bill is survived by his daughter, Linda (fiancé, Clay Bowersox) Barzano of Packwaukee, son, William Jr. of Princeton as well as his granddaughter, Jessica (Ian) Hutchins of Eagle River and three great grandchildren: Kaleb, Scarlett and Callen.  Bill is also survived by his brother, Anthony (Arlene) Barzano of Princeton and sisters-in-law: Sue Barzano of Texas, Carla Barzano of Illinois and Joan (Larry) Kush of Princeton as well as nieces and nephews.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Myrna, brothers: Robert and John “Jack” and in-laws: Leonard and Evelyn Scharringhausen.

Honoring Bill’s wishes, a Celebration of His Life will be held at a later date.  He will be laid to rest next to his wife at Memory Hill Cemetery in Princeton. Please visit our website www.wachholzandsons.com to send a condolence or to share a memory of Bill with his family.
