William J. LaFleur

William J. LaFleur, age 88, of Ripon, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2020, at William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison.  He was born on September 22, 1931, in Terra Haute, Indiana.  

William proudly served his country in the United States Navy.  For many years, he used his culinary skills working as a chef at restaurants around the area such as the Green Lake Conference Center, Nortons of Green Lake and the Lawsonia Golf Course Restaurant.

William liked the outdoors and enjoyed fishing in the warmer months as well as ice fishing in the winter. He also enjoyed deer hunting.

Those William leaves behind to cherish his memory include his 2 children, Elizabeth (Greg Hubbard) LaFleur of California City, CA, William Joseph LaFleur of Terra Haute, IN; 7 grandchildren, Donna Marie Moore of SC, Bryan Keith (Jessi) Moore of NC; Chris, Ryan, Chad, Shane and Chelsea LaFleur; 5 great grandchildren, Madilynn Kuhn of SC, Kayden Gaunt, Kendall Gaunt, Dakota Moore all of NC; Cody; 3 adopted children, Helen, Roland Lee, Melody Ann all of Terra Haute, IN; stepdaughter, Jackie Sue of Terra Haute, IN; 2 stepchildren, Jim (Caryn) Esten, Tonia Fritz; brother, Jerry (Darlene) Baskett; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 41 years, Virginia LaFleur; sister, Dorothy LaFleur; brother, Jack Baskett.   

In honoring Williams wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no services.
