William E. Manthey, age 76, of Montello, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at UW Hospital in Madison. He was born on May 28, 1942, in Princeton, WI, the son of Louis and Olga (Blifnick) Manthey. William married Lucille Naparala on November 16, 1968, in Neshkoro. He worked for Mashuda Contractors and had other various jobs during his working career. His passion in life was his farming. In his younger years, he found time for hunting and fishing. He enjoyed working on tractors and vehicles. Bill also enjoyed participating in parades and Civil War reenactments with his horses.
William is survived by his wife of 49 years, Lucille Manthey of Montello; 2 sons, Ronald Manthey of Princeton, Michael Manthey of Montello; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Olga Manthey.
